Happy 2008

New Years Day in my family means three things:

Black-Eyed Peas
Collared Greens
Corn Bread

Thanks Mom!

All a bit too southern for me. ;) Although my mom always told me it was good luck to eat black eyed peas on New Years Day. I have just never eaten them. (or collards for that matter. ick)

I do loves me some cornbread though! But ummmm...what are the green bits in that cornbread???

Anyway, I hope your black eyed peas will bring you much good luck in the new year!!!!!

The green bits are pieces of brocoli.

Ok...that's a new one. Never heard of putting broccoli in cornbread.

Happy New Year. And try to stay warm. I heard it got pretty cold down ATL way this morning. :)
